Beyond100K Welcomes 21 New Partners Advancing Equity and Innovation in STEM Education

A powerful new cohort joins our national movement to ensure every student has access to excellent, identity-affirming STEM learning.

At Beyond100K, we know the STEM teacher shortage won’t be solved by one program, one district, or one idea. It takes a coalition—innovators, educators, youth leaders, system-builders—all moving in the same direction.

This year, 21 new partners join that movement. They bring fresh imagination, deep community roots, statewide influence, and cutting-edge approaches across the teacher preparation and retention pipeline.

And for the first time ever, we welcome a youth-led organization—Mindset Math—whose founders are already reimagining how students experience STEM. Their creativity and conviction capture exactly what this network is all about: bold ideas, shared learning, and collective action.

Together, these partners serve communities across the country; from Indigenous nations in the Southwest, to rural districts in the Midwest, to state systems shaping the future of computing, science, and teacher workforce development. Their work is united by a shared belief: every classroom deserves a well-prepared, supported STEM teacher who reflects and uplifts the brilliance of their students.

What This Cohort Brings to the Field

1. Strengthening the Teacher Workforce Through Evidence-Based Preparation, Apprenticeship & Mentoring

This year’s cohort includes trailblazing organizations building teacher pipelines that are accessible, affordable, and rooted in community:

  • Teacher Apprenticeship Network (Northeast), a leader in “earn while you learn” pathways
  • New Jersey Tutoring Corps, launching the nation’s first tutor-to-teacher apprenticeship
  • Tarleton State University, supporting rural educators through preparation and professional development
  • New Teacher Center, a national leader in induction, coaching, and retention

These organizations advance our goal of preparing and retaining 150,000 excellent STEM teachers—particularly Black, Latine, and Indigenous educators—by 2032.

2. Expanding Indigenous and Community-Rooted Pathways

Organizations like the Alliance for Indigenous Math Circles and the South Dakota Education Equity Coalition bring culturally grounded models that honor Indigenous knowledge, community values, and identity. Their leadership strengthens our collective ability to reshape STEM learning in ways that affirm students’ full selves.

3. Driving National Scale Through Professional Associations & Statewide Leadership

The American Association of Physics Teachers and the Council of State Science Supervisors each bring unparalleled reach and expertise to elevate high-quality STEM instruction across the nation.

Statewide and regional efforts from the Learning Technology Center of Illinois, ECEP Alliance, and others will help align systems, data, and strategy to strengthen the STEM teacher pipeline at scale.

4. Growing High-Quality, Inclusive Computer Science & STEM Ecosystems

From CMU CS Academy’s free, globally used computer science curriculum to BootUp PD’s K–5 computer science and AI professional development, this cohort deepens the network’s capacity to expand equitable access to transformational STEM learning experiences.

Ecosystem-building organizations—including SciTech Institute, Learn Fresh, CUESF, SOTV Creators, and the PRISE consortium in Philadelphia—bring community-driven strategies that expand opportunity and strengthen local pathways into STEM careers.
