Why does belonging in STEM matter to you?

From climate change to disease, STEM plays a key role in tackling our biggest challenges and creating a better future. But too often the communities most impacted by these challenges are excluded from STEM. As I student, I never saw myself or people who looked like me in STEM. I didn’t understand how STEM could help my community. Belonging in STEM is critical because we need as many people as possible with the skills and knowledge to tackle big challenges, which means making sure that every student knows that STEM is for them.
