Beyond100K unites leading STEM organizations to co-develop and implement solutions that will end the STEM teacher shortage by 2043, especially for those most excluded from STEM opportunities.

Why It Matters

We believe in the power of STEM teachers.

If we are going to solve our greatest global challenges, from future pandemics to climate change, we must show young people from every corner of this country that they belong in STEM. Teachers are the key to creating that ecosystem of belonging.

STEM remains
an exclusive field.
Black,
Latinx, and Native Americans
represent only 24% of
the STEM workforce.
The Challenge

Young people need the STEM tools to build a better future.

The Key

STEM teachers are essential to unlocking student potential.

The Solution

A network that prepares and retains diverse STEM teachers who create a sense of belonging.

Elevating the Voices of Our Future Innovators

600 young people shared their STEM stories. They told us that when they felt excluded from STEM, they put aside their STEM dreams. When they belonged, their natural curiosity for STEM could take hold, and they pursued and persisted in STEM through college and beyond.

Teachers create classrooms of belonging.

What We Do

We enlist leading organizations across sectors to make commitments to prepare, retain, and support diverse STEM educators.

We remove the barriers to collaboration, creating the conditions for members of the network to learn from each other and make meaningful progress.

We identify and elevate key trends, needs, and opportunities across the STEM field and bring attention to them on the national stage.

We keep people focused and driving toward a big, audacious goal that none of us could reach on our own.
